Twellie — Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Twellie Service and is incorporated into our Terms of Service by reference.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account without notice for any violation of this AUP. We may also report violations to law enforcement where appropriate.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Service to create, upload, submit, generate, or disseminate content that:
- Is unlawful under federal, state, local, or international law;
- Is fraudulent, false, or misleading (including fake property addresses, staged property photos misrepresenting condition, or fabricated inspection documents);
- Infringes intellectual property (copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or publicity/privacy rights);
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive toward any person;
- Exploits or endangers minors in any way;
- Promotes hate, discrimination, or violence based on protected characteristics;
- Contains malware, viruses, trojans, worms, or other harmful code;
- Violates a person's privacy, including posting private information without consent.
2. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
2.1 Misuse the Service
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or tier restrictions (e.g., creating multiple Accounts, using IP rotation, sharing credentials);
- Use the Service in a manner that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure;
- Automate access via bots, scrapers, crawlers, or headless browsers without our prior written consent;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service;
- Attempt to extract, recreate, or reconstruct our proprietary datasets or AI models.
2.2 Security Violations
- Gain unauthorized access to the Service, other Accounts, or our infrastructure;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without our prior written consent;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with authentication, encryption, rate-limiting, or other security features;
- Introduce malware or engage in denial-of-service attacks.
2.3 Competitive Misuse
- Use the Service to build a competing product, dataset, or AI model;
- Use Reports to train a machine-learning model;
- Publicly publish, resell, redistribute, or sublicense Reports beyond what is allowed in Section 8 of the Terms;
- Scrape, bulk-download, or crawl Reports or Service data for bulk analysis.
2.4 Abuse of AI
- Attempt to jailbreak, manipulate, or exploit the AI into producing outputs that violate this AUP, the Terms, or applicable law;
- Attempt to extract or reveal our system prompts, proprietary instructions, or training data;
- Use the AI to generate disinformation, deepfakes, or content designed to deceive (e.g., AI-fabricated "listings" for properties not on the market);
- Use Reports to defame, harass, or disparage neighborhoods, communities, or individuals.
2.5 Regulated-Use Violations
Do not use the Service or any Report for:
- Mortgage lending, underwriting, or refinancing (violates appraiser independence rules);
- AVM submissions under federal or state AVM-quality rules;
- Tax appeals, divorce / probate valuations, litigation, eminent-domain proceedings;
- Insurance underwriting;
- Investment-securities valuations (Reg D, Reg A, 506(c), public offerings);
- Financial statements for banks, creditors, or the IRS;
- Any purpose where federal, state, or local law requires a licensed appraisal or professional opinion.
2.6 Impersonation and Misrepresentation
- Impersonate any person or entity;
- Misrepresent your affiliation with Twellie;
- Use Reports to falsely suggest an agency relationship with Twellie.
3. Photography and Third-Party Rights
When you upload property photographs or documents, you must have the right to do so. Specifically:
- Exterior photos taken from public property (sidewalk, street) are generally permissible;
- Interior photos require permission from the property owner or their authorized agent;
- Listing photos from MLS may be subject to MLS licensing terms that prohibit sharing — check before uploading;
- Photos of people (tenants, neighbors, family members) may require their consent, especially if identifying features are visible;
- Drone photography must comply with FAA rules and local ordinances.
You are solely responsible for any third-party rights associated with content you submit.
4. Reporting Violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP:
- Privacy violations: privacy@twellie.com
- Security issues: security@twellie.com
- IP infringement (DMCA): dmca@twellie.com
- Other abuse: abuse@twellie.com
We investigate promptly. Retaliation against users who report in good faith is itself a violation.
5. Enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Remove or limit access to offending content;
- Suspend or terminate your Account;
- Report you to law enforcement;
- Pursue any available legal or equitable remedy, including injunctive relief and damages;
- Recover our costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) from a User whose violation causes us harm.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced at https://twellie.com/aup.
